Centaurea peltieri a new species to science found in Morocco
Dr. Alfonso Susanna, researcher at the Institut Botànic de Barcelona (IBB), has participated in the description of a new Centaurea (Compostae) that has been named Centaurea peltieri.

The species was discovered by the Moroccan researcher Abdelmonaim Homrani Bakali in the Assaka gorges, newar to Middlet, Great Atlas. The new species is related to other species growing on other cliffs in the Great Atlas further west. The article where C. peltieri is described can be found in Phytotaxa (press).
